At the centre of the action: the stage for the church service

Our stage serves as the centre of the service, where the worship band plays music and sermons and presentations take place. You will appreciate the clear acoustics and good visibility, allowing you to fully experience and enjoy every moment of the service.

Generous room layout

In the worship room, 500 chairs are clearly arranged, separated by aisles for easy access. This means that everyone attending the service can find a seat. Note: The people involved in the church service programme on stage are seated in the front row of the middle block. Please keep these seats free.

The photo area

We want to capture the special moments and the community in our church service in photos and videos. That is why our photographers take photos in certain areas during the service. If you do not want to be photographed, there are areas where no photos or videos will be taken. You can find more information on this under "Privacy".

Projectors and screens for better visibility

We want to communicate our good news clearly and in an appealing way, which is why we use projectors and screens to visually support song lyrics, Bible verses and sermon content. This means you can sing along to the songs even if you don't know the words yet.

Prayer area: a place to listen and receive

We believe that you can talk to God and that he hears us. After every service, our prayer team is ready to pray with you, support you in your concerns and be there for personal blessings. This opportunity offers a valuable space for fellowship and spiritual support.

Sound level and acoustics

In our services, we honour God with modern worship music and modern instruments. We want to create an atmosphere in which everyone can feel comfortable in order to focus on God. That's why our technicians take care not to exceed a certain average volume limit. It tends to be quieter in the side chair blocks and at the back of the hall. If it is too loud for you, you can pick up earplugs free of charge from the mixing desk (at the back in the centre of the hall).

Multilingual translation in English, Russian and Spanish

It is particularly important to us that everyone is welcome at the service, regardless of their origin or language. That's why we offer simultaneous translation into different languages (English, Russian and Spanish). Simply pick up a pair of wireless translation headphones at the beginning of the service. The headphones will be handed out right next to the entrance to the hall. There is also a member of our staff there who will be happy to help you set the right language and volume.

Detailed programme of the service

Every Sunday, you have the special opportunity to experience God’s presence and fellowship in the Dresden Jesus Community service. The worship service is carefully organised to allow you moments of worship, encounters with God’s word and personal encounters with people. Please be aware that this schedule is flexible in order to best meet the needs of our congregation.

From 9.30 am (before the service): Coffee and tea in the foyer

Start your Sunday morning with us with a warm cup of coffee or tea. Even before the official start of the service, from 9.30 am, you are warmly invited to arrive in the foyer in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. This time offers a wonderful opportunity to chat, get to know each other and make new friends in a relaxed environment.

From 9.45 a.m.: Registration for the children's service

We offer families the opportunity to register their children for the children’s service from 9.45 am. This ensures that everything runs smoothly and gives the children the chance to organise their own special time with games.

10:00 am: Start of the service with worship

We start our service with an extended time of worship (approx. 30 minutes). Accompanied by our music band, we celebrate and honour God, sing songs together and lift our hearts and voices in gratitude. This time serves to encounter God and to be strengthened and encouraged in him.

Announcements and welcoming of new visitors

Following worship, we take a moment to share important information and upcoming church events. We make a point of warmly welcoming new visitors so that everyone feels part of our church family right from the start.

Sermon

A centrepiece of our service is the sermon, which usually lasts around 30 minutes. Our pastors and guest speakers share insights and teachings from the Bible that are both challenging and encouraging and can be applied to everyday life.

Conclusion and blessing

The service ends with an encouraging blessing with which you can start the new week.

From 11:30 am (after the service): Prayer for healing and other matters

Following the service, we offer a special time of prayer. Our prayer team is available to pray for healing, support and any concerns you may have on your heart. This time is a central part of our care and support for church members and visitors seeking spiritual help.

Fellowship with coffee and tea

After the service, everyone is cordially invited to linger over coffee and tea in our canteen. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better and strengthen the community.

CHILDREN’S SERVICE:
INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Kindergruppe
At Jesus Gemeinde Dresden, we take the needs of families seriously and want everyone – from the youngest to the oldest members – to feel welcome and valued. Visit us and experience how we grow in faith together.

A customised experience for all ages

In our church, we recognise the importance of children discovering faith in a fun and safe way that is appropriate for their developmental stage. These programmes are designed not only to offer children fun and fellowship, but also to introduce them to spiritual topics in a playful way (depending on the age group).

Easy and safe children’s service check-in

Check-in for the Sunday children’s service begins before the main service so that you can drop off your child(ren) stress-free. Once they are checked in, you can relax and enjoy the service knowing that your children are in good hands and will have an enriching time. Depending on their age and needs, you as a mum or dad are also welcome to attend the children’s service and be with your child.

Groups that are tailored to the needs of your children

Our children’s service is divided into four main groups that support each child at their developmental stage. We support the children’s spiritual and social development with age-appropriate, entertaining and educational activities.

up to 3 years: MiniKids

For the MiniKids (up to 3 years), we create a warm and safe atmosphere in which the little ones are lovingly cared for.

3 - 6 years: EntdeckerKids

At EntdeckerKids (3-6 years), children immerse themselves in an experience of creative Bible stories, songs and games tailored to their stage of life to awaken their curiosity and joy of discovery.

1. - 4. cass: AdventureKids

The AdventureKids (1.-4. class) experience an adventurous programme full of exciting activities and biblical content that motivates them to actively engage with their faith.

5. - 7. class: PreTeens

For the PreTeens (5.-7. class), we create an environment in which we accompany them through discussion groups and targeted activities in their development, in which they become increasingly independent and thus also have questions about faith and life, and want to make God and the relevance of faith a practical experience for them.

Simply walk out of the service room and continue along the corridor to the right. There are also more toilets on the left-hand side of the corridor (around the corner).

PRIVACY: YOUR DATA IS SAFE WITH US!

At Jesus Gemeinde, it is important to us to capture the special moments and the lively community in our church services. That’s why we take photos during the events and make a video recording from the stage, which is streamed live. These recordings help us to carry the message of hope and love far beyond the walls of our church and share it with people who cannot attend in person.

We recognise the importance of privacy and take it very seriously. For this reason, we have introduced clear guidelines to protect the privacy of each individual. We have set up special zones within the community.

The No-Photo Areas, where photography is strictly prohibited, provide a space for those who do not wish to be photographed. In the Photo Areas, on the other hand, photography is permitted. These areas are clearly marked to ensure that the privacy wishes of all visitors are respected.
